Marta Ferraz

Marta Ferraz. She is a scientist, she works with robots and currently she’s working at ESA.She was born in Portugal. She has lots of passions. She loves music, art and she plays the drums.

In April, 2019 we interview her in our school. She tells us that as a child she didn’t know what to do. She dreams of being a drummer. But her parents don’t want her to become it. So she studies a lot and very hard and she begins to love robotics.

Today she still doesn’t know what she would choose between music and robots.Marta also loves sports: she goes surfing, she runs and goes to the gym. She even thinks that sport make you more intelligent.Her parents encourage her during her career and she becomes a scientist.She works with exoskeletons. They are interesting devices with which you can control a robot by remote distance.

In the future they will be used to control rovers on Mars and on the Moon.
